Happy holidays!
2024 was a mixed bag of highs and lows including battles with the Canadian tax woman (apparently "profit" "success" are now four letter words in my country), Transport Canada (unlawful medical suspension), and my "paint booth." Who knew that current air filter media technology would be the source of contaminated air!
The good news is, we enjoyed a fairytale wedding of daughter #2 (rib lacing partner) in July, the medical suspension was lifted by July and I managed to do a fair bit of flying, including the Taylorcraft (which I hadn't flown in over a year).
Lots of visitors for the wedding and summer so didn't make it to Oshkosh 2024, but despite the paint booth problems I did make some progress on the Super Cub.
Unexpected travel, including finding and picking up from Florida, a replacement for my old Jeep... a new to me 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with only 52,000 miles! "They don't build'm like they used to" has never been more true, and after trying to buy a new vehicle in the post covid world, I decided to stick with technology that can be repaired and has a reasonable life expectancy.
My old, old Jeep now has accumulated 457,000 km and still runs strong, but the chassis/body is being reclaimed by the elements.
Anyway enjoy the pics and commentary on the Super Cub progress, slow as it may be.
